NPI Emma Maguire

I graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing in 1999 and initially worked in surgical nursing. However, I have spent the last 20 years working with 10-25 year olds in primary health care. This has given me great experience in many areas of health including mental health, contraception and sexual health, addiction, gender affirming care as well as general health conditions.
 

I have been doing postgraduate study for the last three years and this year I will complete my clinical Master of Nursing.

I’m so excited to have joined the supportive team at Main North Road as a Nurse Practitioner Intern. I’m looking forward to working with patients across the lifespan and supporting them to have the best health possible!

I have two teenagers so I spend much of my out of work time being a taxi driver to their sport and music activities! I also love gardening, walking and spending time in and on the water. My partner works part of each year in Antarctica so I have a fondness for penguins!
